March 20th was the 1 year anniverssary of the bombing campaign in Baghdad which claimed thousands of civilian lives and was premised on the lie that Saddam hussein had nukes and was going to use them. Yvette made peace signs out of white tape on our jackets (the same white tape Steve used to mask the black screw-heads on the closet shelves), and we wandered around Manhattan with 100,000 other visionaries.
Did you know that 50% of your tax dollars get spent on the military? We have the largest military budget in the world, 10 times that of China! Did you know that the U.S. has killed more people than any other nation in history? Yeah, but we had lots of really good reasons for all that killing. We are the masters of spin, the artful dodgers of responsiblity. Anyway, we had a good time. A German radio reporter recorded a conversation I had with someone and said she was going to try and play it on the air. And someone from a MNN show filmed Ben and I arguing about the Sep. 11th cover-up. [View/Post Comments] [Digg] [Del.icio.us] [Stumble] |
